The Initial Consultation

We’d love to have you attend a consultation at our clinic. A phone call with our experienced team is a great way to help us understand your issue, and to learn more about what we can do for you.

At your first visit, we listen to you. Your symptoms, medical history and main concerns are important. We will examine your oral health – your soft tissues, teeth, jaw muscles, movements and joint – to find valuable information.

We may suggest a sleep study if there is a chance you have sleep apnoea, and dental x-rays may be necessary.

02

The Fitting

This is the major event! Your appliance will be checked for fit and comfort, with minor alterations done if required.

We will give you information about how to get used to the appliance. You’ll get instructions about how to care for it at home.

Many patients report their snoring or symptoms resolve straight away. Some people will need to adjust their appliance at home to get the best outcome.

03

The Review

We normally see you after a few weeks to check in. We want to hear about how it is working for you. This is a good time to make minor alterations or adjustments to the appliance if required.

There is no fee if subsequent reviews are required in the first year after getting your appliance – we want to make sure you’re as happy as possible!

In the longer term, an annual review of your and your appliance is recommended.
